Reflection Paper 4
Our lesson that was held on 14th march was different from the usual one. We were divided into expert group with five members each. And the activity that sir provided were on the inductive teaching strategy. In order to complete the task sir provided us with 1hour. Within that one hour we were asked to prepare a presentation on the inductive teaching strategy. The five topics were
1.     Concept of inductive teaching strategy
2.     propose of inductive teaching strategy
3.     procedural steps of inductive teaching
4.     roles of teacher
5.     merits and demerits of this strategy
6.     model lesson
We were given the topic and some materials. Our group got the topic "merits and demerits of this strategy ".  After preparing our presentation sir told us to be in our home group and told us to present to them. In this session I came to know much new knowledge and had fun and got an opportunity to speak to my friends. Then the first expert group presented on the topic "concept of inductive teaching strategy."

CONCEPT OF INDUCTIVE TEACHING/LEARNING STRATEGY.

Definition of inductive teaching strategy
It is an inquiry or discovery based learning whereby learner are taken or leaded from what you know to what you don't know.

Concept
  • In this strategy teacher will give certain hint on the particular topic but student have to do self exploration with help of teacher.
  • Specific data will be given to learner by the teacher.
  Inductive teaching strategy is 2type that is guided and unguided
1.     Guided
In this teacher will provide some hint related to the topic but students have to do self discovery.

Features of guided   inductive teaching strategy
  • Learner has to explore.
  • Teacher will just be a guide and provide the basic information.
  • Whatever student do, teacher has to encourage.
 2     Unguided
In this teacher will only act as guide and all the work should be done by students them self (provide only the topic).

Features of unguided   inductive teaching strategy
  • Teacher will pose only the question.
  • student centered
